“ Holiday tea, our family tradition was the absolute best this year at The Lobby. The decor is spectacular, live holiday music, Santa and Mrs. Claus create a most memorable experience. Our service was provided by Umberto who is professional and also enhanced our visit with the best service I have had (speaking as a restaurant owner of 40 years). Food presentation is beautiful and all items were delicious. Definitely our favourite holiday tea! ”
“ This was our second one time staying at The Peninsula. In town for our anniversary and father’s day weekend. We get complimentary breakfast at The Lobby during our stay. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They work hard to ensure you get the best dining experience. I tried their bagel with salmon and it was delicious. My daughter was happy with her pancakes with chocolate chip. My wife had her scrambled eggs paired with applewood bacon and she said it was great. The place is great as well. Not too crowded during our stay. If you get the opportunity to stay here, check them out. Cheers! ”
“ The Lobby is a restaurant located inside of the Hotel Peninsula. I strongly recommend it! Please try the The "Pen-edict" it’s a whole lobster tail, caviar, toasted croissant, truffle hollandaise, poached eggs, shaved truffle. It’s in a category all by itself! My husband had the spa breakfast. Atichat our server and great personality and service made our breakfast extra special. ”
“ This restaurant is stunning. A real treat for breakfast and lunch. I've enjoyed both and my pictures are from both meals. The eggs benedict are freshly prepared with an excellent hollandaise sauce. My favorite lunch is the tandoori chicken. I would definitely call this an Indian fusion interpretation rather than true tandoori chicken. But let's skip authenticity, the dish is absolutely amazing!!! ”

We had the best avocado toast I have ever had as well as a lobster benedict with truffle shavings on a croissant that was out of this world. “ OHMMMMGEHHHHHH!!!!! This place is to die for?!!! I’m so glad my honey wanted to have breakfast in The Lobby!! Yessssssss, we stayed with them and finally decided to dine with them in The Lobby for breakfast!! The whole place is just beautiful, and when I say beautiful, I mean BEAUTIFUL!!!! From when we got here, to checking in, and to dining with them. We had breakfast with them Saturday May 14, 2022. We got seated by a window table and was offered coffee right away. Our waiter was very attentive and showed cared for my #jbabes food allergies. He did continue to water and coffee us down while we waited for our breakfast which came out right in time. My #jbabe had The Peninsula Breakfast and I had The Chinese Breakfast. They were both so amazing that we had it again the very next morning but in our room this time. Balls to the Walls Yalls, this 5 diamond hotel is CHICAGO!!!!! It is Chicago and The Peninsula, so expect the unexpected from them!!! We love you The Peninsula and The Lobby!! Can’t wait to see you guys again!! ”
“ The restaurant located in their beautiful lobby has a perfect mix of excellent service and very good food. It has scaled down recently as have other hotels at this level in offerings and experiences which is a bit disappointing. But the core is still intact and we'll enjoy that for now. ”
